Yoga practices

I know some of you out there practice yoga. I started my first Hatha yoga class just before I got pregnant and dropped it when I started being faint and exhausted in class (this was first trimester).

Now it's time for the fall studio registrations and a Bikram yoga studio has opened nearby as well. I gather it is a very different experience (room temperature just for openers). I'm inclined to go back to the Hatha studio where I know I can internalize enough of the work to try and take it home with me and make it a daily practice, but I'm curious about the Bikram experience.

I'll be talking to the Bikram studio people, but I thought I'd ask you guys whether you'd recommend a yoga beginner try Hatha or Bikram first and why.

Haven't tried both, so not able to give broader perspective. However: I did Hatha for a year at Unity Woods and got a lot out of it in terms of core muscle strength and flexibility.

As you are aware, I am a bad-tempered meatball with minimal tolerance for hippie nonsense, and I got enough obvious practical benefit that I was able to overlook the Counselor Troi vibe that all the instructors gave off.
